Meet ISAEC's clinicians...

ISAEC clinicians are practicing Physiotherapists and Chiropractors who have undergone rigorous training in advanced spine assessment with ISAEC's Networked Spine Surgeons. Our clinicians provide ISAEC services from a number of affiliated clinics located throughout the three program regions.

Practice Leader - Toronto

Marcia Correale, BSc(PT)

Marcia holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto. She has thirteen years of experience in both a hospital and private practice setting. She has experience treating repetitive strain injuries, arthritis, chronic pain, and various spinal and peripheral musculoskeletal conditions, and has worked with diverse patients from post-surgical to athletes. Marcia provides quality assessments and focuses on educating patients about their condition.  With a keen interest in orthopedics, Marcia has continued to expand her skills and has training in Manual Therapy, Acupuncture, Movement Dysfunction, and the McKenzie Method. She is a Clinical Lecturer with the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto and Clinical Resource Tutor with the Department of Medicine at the Mississauga Academy of Medicine.

Henry Candelaria, BPHE, DC 

Henry holds a Bachelor of Physical and Health Education degree from the University of Toronto. In 2007, he graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College magna cum laude as a Doctor of Chiropractic.  In addition to his experience with motor vehicle accident and work related injuries, he has extensive experience working with athletes.  Some of the organizations he has worked with in the past include provincial skiing, lacrosse, and basketball organizations, as well as professional and amateur football teams, AAA hockey, and varsity soccer, volleyball and track and field. Henry has extensive experience in the field of manual therapy and managing cases of lower back pain.  His professional passions include advancing the field of manual therapy through research, inter-professional collaboration, and developing opportunities that allow allied health professionals to maximally utilize their scopes of practice. He is, therefore, a strong proponent of the ISAEC model and is dedicated to helping guide patients through the maze of healthcare options for the management of lower back pain through evidence informed assessment and education.

van Chen Liang Koh, BSc, DC

Ivan initially became interested in chiropractic following a sports injury. He sought many forms of treatment before a friend referred him to a local chiropractor. Within a few weeks, the chiropractor had Ivan functioning at the high level he was accustomed to. Following this experience, he became motivated to help others the way chiropractic helped him. Ivan is a 2001 graduate of Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas. He was awarded the Clinical Excellence Award for outstanding patient treatment.  He is trained in a variety of chiropractic techniques including Activator and Diversified. Ivan holds an Advanced Proficiency Standing in Activator chiropractic technique as well as accredited training in clinical acupuncture through the Acupuncture Council of Ontario (ACO).

Maureen Dwight, BSc(PT)​

Maureen graduated from the University of Alberta physiotherapy program with distinction in 1980. She founded an orthopaedic therapy clinic in 1987. She has studied in Canada, the U.S., England, Australia and the Czech Republic. She has a status-only appointment as an instructor with the University of Toronto, Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. She is a frequent speaker and guest lecturer at conferences and seminars.  She has been qualified as an expert witness both in the civil courts and by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. She is recognized by her peers as an ‘Educational Influential’ in Physiotherapy, awarded by the Institute for Work and Health (IWH). Maureen was recently awarded the designation of a clinical musculoskeletal specialist by the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.  She is currently an examiner for this program.

Altaf Virani, BSc(Hon.), BSc, DC
Altaf has been in private practice for the last 12 years and is presently the clinic director at two practices in Toronto and Etobicoke. Both practices focus on a multi-disciplinary approach to treatment of musculoskeletal disorders.  His practices involve inter and intra-collaboration with family physicians, orthopaedic surgeons, and physiotherapists. Altaf is a consultant at the Toronto East General Hospital Regional Evaluation Centre and an educator at the Theralase Cold Laser Clinic in Toronto.

Tracy Kish, BSc(N), DC

Tracy is a community-based chiropractor and clinic owner in Toronto.  Prior to becoming a chiropractor, she worked as an operating room nurse in orthopedic surgery both in Canada and abroad. She works closely with local physicians to treat musculoskeletal complaints. Tracy is certified to provide acupuncture and Active Release Technique (ART(R)). This spring she will be completing a certificate course in Vestibular Rehabilitation at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta.

Erika Uguccioni, ​MSc PT, BSc (Kin)


​Erika holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from York University.  In 2012, she graduated from the University of Toronto with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy.  She is committed to providing evidence-based care to her patients with a multi-discipline approach through the application of a variety of treatment techniques.  She is proficient in medical acupuncture as well as treatment of mild traumatic brain injuries, such as concussions.  Her professional passions are focused on vocational rehabilitation through inter-professional collaboration across the continuum of care.  She currently works as a community therapist at Altum Health located in Vaughan as a proud member of the University Health Network.  She is actively involved in teaching as a clinical instructor at the University of Toronto, and is committed to ongoing education as a lifelong learner.

Deanna Baker, BSc(PT)

Deanna is an experienced physiotherapist who graduated at the top of her class at the University of British Columbia in 1997.  An avid traveler who wanted to give back, she decided to volunteer at a hospital in rural Zambia.  After that life altering experience, she decided it was time for a change, and she moved east.  She chose to settle in Toronto in 2005 and started working at Toronto Western Hospital. There she completed her ACPAC (Advanced Clinician Practitioner in Arthritis Care) training while developing the new Physiotherapy Practitioner role in Orthopedics and Arthritis. Through clinical mentorship with the Orthopedic surgeons and Rheumatologists, she started working in the Hip and Knee Assessment Centre,  as well as the Inflammatory Back Pain screening clinic.  Currently she is situated in the Family Health Team, where she provides consultation and management of patients with musculoskeletal issues. She is excited to join the ISAEC team.
